Trencadís is a decorative technique that consists in creating mosaics with irregular pieces of ceramic or other easily fragmented materials. It was mainly Gaudí who popularized its use. Give free rein to your imagination with the spontaneity of design that this technique allows, using leftover materials that would otherwise be unusable. It is said that on Gaudí's instructions, his workers used to collect pieces of ceramic and glass that they found in the garbage.
